This workshop is for leaders who:

  • Want to increase their assertiveness and clarity in communicating with different types of people
  • Find it hard to switch off from work
  • Are ready to challenge themselves

How is the workshop being delivered?

The workshop is being delivered online via Zoom. The session is 2h long.

Throughout the workshop the participants use a workbook to work through one behaviour that causes intens discomfort to them. The workbook can be used after the workshop to apply it to any conflict situation that they might run into.

What are the outcomes of the workshop?

Out of participating in the Lead Powerfully: Manage Your Emotions workshop, the participants start to have an increased level of:

  • Clarity and assertiveness in your conversations with your peers and leaders within the company
  • Effectiveness in communicating with your team
  • Awareness of what triggers you, and practices on how to deal with that

What is being covered in the workshop?

The workshop takes the participants through a process that takes them from reacting to responding.

Responding is when what’s happening internally is that we feel neutral, we give no particular meaning to what they said. After the conversation, we have no extra thoughts about what happened, it’s complete. Intention is to make it work.

Reacting is when what’s happening internally is that we feel discomfort; we might be angry, upset or tired … And when we reply, it could be by shouting, being sarcastic or maybe not saying anything. Afterwards, we keep thinking about the conversation; and we might think “Well they’re wrong!”. The intention here is “protecting ourselves” or forcing.

Trigger is a stimulus that causes an experience of extreme discomfort. it can be a behaviour, a song, a smell, etc.

During the workshop the participants bring situations that are occurring right now in their work life.

We were buddies on a 2-year long personal development program. We both loved the results we got from being coached and coaching others, and went onto complete our coaching qualification. 

During the various programs we have participated in, we experienced first-hand how effective group coaching is and how much we grew during this time; we realised that when someone else is sharing and being coached, we also get something from that. 

We chose leadership and communication to coach others in, as it made such a difference in our professional lives and also our personal lives.

That’s why we support Leaders by giving them simple tools to communicate clearly and confidently.

The powerful tool Becca and I developed together is now available through this workshop, which I now lead. I’m here to help you increase your satisfaction as a leader and equip you with the tools you need to manage your emotions and lead with confidence.
